UCSF Medical · Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Center

The research center at UCSF Mission Bay Campus provides state of the art research  facility to help in the fight against cancer. Project included 33 laboratories, ancillary space for clinical research programs, lecture rooms, offices, vivarium and an MRI imaging suite. Large open labs are outfitted with flexible, relocatable lab furnishings, creating a facility that can easily adapt to the changing needs of research. GL Planning & Design served as lab planner to Rafael Viñoly Architects on this project.

Project was built to LEED® standards.

The facility has been honored with “Best Public/Cultural/Health” project by the San Francisco Business Times. It was also the winner of 2009's California Construction Magazine “Best Higher Education/Research Facility" award.
