New Clinical Laboratory replacement. Project will support the New Stanford and Lucile Packard Children’s Replacement Hospitals. The primary objective is to establish a highly efficient, LEAN laboratory operation and to provide state of the art automation equipment to increase testing volumes and accuracy. Project provides automated testing along with related diagnostic laboratories including: molecular, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, flow cytometry, blood gas and bone marrow, and support spaces. To effectively link the new clinical lab to the various buildings the project includes upgrade and modernization to pneumatic tube system. The project is planned to be constructed in phases to allow the existing lab to remain operational throughout the construction period.
