Originally known as Ask Jeeves, the company was growing from a staff of 168 to about 300 during the duration of this project, at the end of 1999. The company also had its initial public offering during this time. We took four months to define the program, design and build this headquarters. Within a moderate budget, we used painted drywall to create work areas, circulation and enclosed rooms that added up to a very interesting large office space. A large server room, break areas and conference rooms are some of the typical functions which were included. We also created a playroom intended to be used by employees or their children during off-hours. The breakrooms are all next to outdoor roof terraces so that everyone can access this amenity.
