Agilent Technologies · Manufacturing Spaces & Tenant Improvements
GLP planned and designed this new manufacturing facility for sophisticated measuring equipment on this 1,000 person new campus. From site evaluation through punchlist, we rounded out the Agilent team as an extension of their Workplace Services Group. We created the overall utilization plan for the site, modified building core elements, clarified corporate standards, negotiated code compliance with local agencies, coordinated among the developer's design/build team and helped with furniture and color selection.
This project involved the renovation of a 2,500 sf portion contained in Building #1, the Fab cleanroom project — primarily an upgrade in finishes in order to achieve a Class 100 Clean Room status. Our work involved the addition of several columns and bases at the basement level to handle added vertical weight and to reduce vibration. A new ceiling with HEPA filters with Fan Filter Units and tear-drop fluorescent lights at the ceiling grid system. New mechanical equipment was installed to maintain strict humidity control and sprinkler heads were relocated as required.
Additionally, GLP designed a new kitchen servery, dining room. The dining room seats over 200 people. Food service vendors and consultants reviewed the design and assured that the equipment selections were appropriate.
